Whereas, the City of Brampton is a breastfeeding friendly organization and welcomes all breastfeeding mothers and children; and Whereas, the City of Brampton does not provide optional, yet dedicated, breastfeeding and bottle feeding spaces for families; and Whereas, many parents would like to have the option to breastfeed and bottle feed in a comfortable, secure and private space; Therefore Be It Resolved: That staff be directed to explore options for possible implementation within all City-owned facilities that would allow families to breastfeed or bottle feed in a comfortable and private space should they wish to do so; and That staff be directed to report back on their findings at a future Council meeting.
